KNAB asks to initiate criminal prosecution against a senior policeman

An investigator of the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office materials of the criminal proceedings initiated on 12 January, 2007 and has asked to bring criminal charges against the Head of a Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the State Police.
Draft concept about regulation of lobbying developed

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has submitted to the Meeting of the State Secretaries the draft concept on regulation of lobbying developed by the working group led by KNAB.
KNAB completed its first anti-corruption advertising campaign

On 28th March the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau organised a closing discussion of the first anti-corruption advertising campaign "Corruption is the Prostitution of the Entrusted Power". During the discussion most of attention was paid to results of the campaign and references along with ideas for future anti-corruption campaigns.
KNAB asks to initiate criminal prosecution against public official of Kolka parish

Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has forwarded to prosecutor's office materials of criminal proceedings initiated on 25 November 2004 asking to start criminal prosecution against chairman of Kolka parish (Talsu region) for unlawful activities with respect to the real estate of the municipality. Criminal proceedings were started on the basis of information received from the Ministry of Regional Development and Local Government.
