Aleksejs Loskutovs

Aleksejs Loskutovs was appointed Director of KNAB by the Parliament on 27 May 2004. Mr. Loskutovs joined KNAB on its foundation in 2003 as head of the Division of Analysis and Countermeasures to Corruption.
Prior to his service in KNAB, Mr. Loskutovs was teaching criminal law at the Police Academy of Latvia. He became Associated Professor in 2000. He worked also as Leading Criminologist at the Latvian Criminological Research Centre. Throughout his 15 years long academic career, Mr. Loskutovs has published numerous articles, methodological publications and study courses and participated in scientific conferences. Prior to that, Mr. Loskutovs has served as inspector and investigator in the Ministry of Interior in Latvia. Mr. Loskutovs was born in Riga in 1962. He graduated from the University of Latvia in 1984 with a diploma in law. He holds masters degree in Law (LL.C.) from the University of Helsinki. He has obtained a Ph.D. in Criminal Law at the University of Latvia. |
