On 28th of September the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) in cooperation with Latvian Prison Administration (LPA) organised the fifth seminar for employees of public institutions: ”The consequences of corruption: punishment inevitability and the value of freedom”.

The place of seminar – Riga Central Prison.

An unusual environment – the prison was choosen with the aim to promote the discussion about the role of anticorruption events in the prevention of crime.

Participants of the seminar was addressed by the Deputy Director of LPA Māris Stivrenieks. The event was hosted by the professionals of the areas of corruption combating and psychology – The Investigator of KNAB Jeļena Rutkovska and Mg.Psych. Tatjana Griškina. They were looking for the answers on questions, why people are willing to act unlawfully and what is the price of freedom.
