The Public Consultative Council of the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau was established to ensure the participation of members of the public in developing, implementing, and educating the public in anti-corruption policy. The Council’s role is to foster the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau’s relationship with the public by making recommendations on relevant issues.

On 25 February 2021, Mr. Valts Kalniņš, associate researcher at the PROVIDUS, was elected as the chair of the Public Consultative Council of the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau. The vice-chair of the Public Consultative Council is Ms. Kitija Bite, a board member of the Latvian Bar Association, elected to the position of vice-chair on 22 November 2018.

The Public Consultative Council was created in 2004, and consists of representatives of non-governmental organisations.
