The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has initiated a criminal proceeding against officials from Incukalns Regional Council for the using official position in bad faith.
Gained evidence, within the criminal proceeding, indicates that state officials in carrying out monitoring and control functions in realization of construction projects, possibly used their official position in bad faith (1st Part of the Section 318 of the Criminal Law), as a result, the municipality has suffered from material injury.
During criminal proceedings, a number of procedural actions have been taken.

provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law.
