The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has taken a decison to instruct the policital party “Vienotība” to reimburse the amount of exceeded the allowed limit of pre-election expenses in the amount of 71 779,42 EUR to the State budget.
KNAB indicates that according to the 2. 1 Part of the 10 Section
of the Law On Financing of Political Organisations (Parties) if
KNAB identifies a violation of provisions of Section 8.4 of this
Law, the Head of KNAB has the duty to charge the relevant political
organisation (party) to include the financial assets into the State
budget within 30 days in such amount as refers to the amount of
pre-election expenses exceeded.
