KNAB has initiated a criminal proceeding for the demanding a bribe in a large scale in relation to the building object

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (hereinafter - KNAB) has started a criminal proceeding for possible demanding a bribe in a large scale in relation to the launching a building object into exploitation, as well as, for the forging of official documents.

To protect interests of the investigation, at this stage the more detailed information is not provided.

KNAB, as one of the priority directions of its activities, within the area of its competence, has defined a building. A high risk of corruption in the building area creates several interconnected conditions, including large scale of financial resources.

In the last year KNAB started four criminal proceedings for possible illegal actions in the area of building, related to the bribery, where participated officials, as well as, related to the forging of official documents in the several building objects.

KNAB states that no one person is considered as guilty until his guilt of a criminal offence is proved in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law.
