Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers the draft Law on Transparency of Lobbying that stipulates lobbying and lobbyist terms and obligations and limits for lobbying.

The main objective of the draft Law on Transparency of Lobbying is to ensure public confidence that decision making process is free from unlawful influences by disclosure of information on lobbying activities.

The draft law provides for the concept of lobbying, stating that lobbying is deliberate communication with the public authorities in the interests of individuals to influence procession of documents and draft law initiation, development, coordination, approval or notification process. The draft law also stipulates definition of the lobbyist and determines his/ her duties, certain information on lobbying registration and publication procedures. It is intended to determine the administrative liability to lobbyists and representatives of public authorities for failure to observe binding provisions.
