In the area of education, the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau is tasked with raising public awareness of the negative consequences of corruption. The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau assesses the knowledge and awareness of the public and public officials on anti-corruption topics and, based on the results of the assessment, conducts awareness-raising activities in the fields of anti-corruption legislation, preventive anti-corruption measures taken by the authorities, and ethics. The bureau informs the public on latest trends in corruption and cases of corruption detected, as well as the measures taken to prevent and combat corruption.

In the field of public relations and education, the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau:

  • informs the public on corruption trends and cases of corruption detected, and on measures taken to prevent and combat corruption;
  • develops and implements a public relations strategy;
  • educates the public in law and ethics;
  • conducts public opinion research and analysis.

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau’s association with the public is pursued by providing information about violations and criminal offences found, the involvement of the non-governmental sector and various discussions, and the organising of trainings for various target audiences. The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau prepares press releases and educational materials, organises education and information seminars, and provides lectures.
